Drum Songs for the Buffalo
During one of the worst recorded anthrax outbreaks in northern Canada, Dene drummers from Fort Providence, Northwest Territories, Canada gather to sing drum prayers and offer hope.
More than 440 wood bison died in the outbreak.
A traditional tobacco ceremony preceded the songs.
This video is dedicated to the hard working men and women of the 2012 Anthrax Response Team and the residents of Fort Providence.
