Ok, For the most part I set up this blog as an educational and Information storage and dissemination tool. I never ever considered using it for my own pulpit to preach the word of whatever I was feeling at the moment, but today I have had enough. I will start with todays sotry and maybe elaborate.

A few weeks ago I ordered a package from Parallax Robotics and when my package came, parts were missing, this happens all the time to folks and most firms are quasi-good about making good, Parallax, however stands above the rest. They Decided to fly the parts to me at top speed next day to me prepaid, in Fort Smith, NT Canada, this most likely cost parallax more than the total cost of the initial package. So on the 17th of the month, parallax priority air-shipped the package to my address. And so it begins...

Nice work FedEX!! Ummm, ok now what from Edmonton.....
The delivery agent is Canada Post. So on the 19th and 20th I diligently checked the mail. Nothing.
I asked Canada Post what was going on, they said they were the delivery agent for GROUND not AIR shipments from fed-ex.
I checked with the agent that normally brings fedex air shipments. They said they dont do it anymore and that its all Canada Post.
On December 23, frustrated that my parts had not arrived, I called FedEx and tracked the package. They told they handed it off to an agent on the 18th.
I said I knew that but needed to know which agent they gave it to. They told me that my package was given to Canada Post on the 18th. and that I would get my parcel on Dec 31st. I was choked, I asked them if thats how they handle all their high paying customers, take the money and then hand off to the slowest cheapest carrier? Understandably defensive, fed ex guy gave me the CP tracking number. I hung up and I know that now there is no shipping company as this was the lat straw.
USPS, FED-EX, UPS, all act like idiots when the package has to come up here. be warned, if you intend to ship a package to Fort Smith, Northwest territories, you had better bring it yourself.

3 weeks ago, it was UPS that gave me an ulcer. My package left the states and went to Calgary, then went back to the states, then went back to Calgary, then went to Edmonton them went to Manitoba then went back to Edmonton then back to Ottawa where it stayed until I called to find out where my package was. Then and only then did it get real priority and made it from Ottawa to Edmonton overnight where it was given to Canada post and it sat there for another 5 days before coming to fort smith. This w3as also a priority air shipment. Ultimately it too almost a month to fly a 6 pound parcel from Utah to Fort Smith NWT.

2 months ago it was a very smal package from Calgary to fort smith via Canada post.

50 dolars to track the package 100$ to track it and sent it priorty. 50$ took 3 weeks.
